How does Suggestv work?
Just as an editorial team would select a video for an article, Suggestv analyses your articles and inserts a video player containing the most relevant videos from your library, saving time, reducing friction and adding volume to your video strategy.
Suggestv uses the latest Artificial Intelligence technology to deliver a unique combination of relevancy (Natural Language Processing), recency and engagement to select the best videos for your article and optimise playlists in real-time using hundreds of data points.
Why is relevance important?
1. Videos fit naturally within the article as if an editor selected them - very important for such an impactful format.
2. Relevant video content has proven to deliver a higher VTR and Viewability ratings for pre-roll ads.
3. For European publishers, Suggestv recommendation is GDPR immune, as it collects no personal data.
Where does the content come from?
Suggestv can either work with your own video library or you can choose to syndicate from select partners that combine to offer over 500,000 quality and up-to-date video files.
Who sells the pre-roll (instream) advertising?
Suggestv can use either your own ad tag, a Suggestv adtag with unique demand or set up a waterfall.
How much does Suggestv cost?
Suggestv is billed on a CPM model, meaning you only pay for the incremental video plays we help you to achieve making it easy to plan, budget and report.
Who is currently using Suggestv?
Suggestv is used by the world's leading media companies from Bloomberg to Global Radio. See the Clients area to find out what some of them have to say about us.
What sort of boost should I expect if I add Suggestv to my site?
Suggestv has grown on-site video views for premium publishers by anywhere between 50-600% - instantly.
Will Suggestv work with my ad tag?
Yes, Suggestv can take any ad tag, meaning that however you currently sell your pre-roll advertising doesn't need to change - we'll simply increase the amount of monetisable inventory you have to sell.
If you don't manage to sell enough advertising, we can help by backfilling with our own, with no additional effort from you.
Will Suggestv work with my own content?
Yes, Suggestv was designed with your own video content library in mind.
Can Suggestv help if I don’t have enough of my own video content?
Yes, if you don't have enough of your own video, we can help by plugging in our own optional content inventory from our high quality media partners.
How is Suggestv added to my pages?
It's just a single line of code that needs to be added to your pages, it can even be added via Google tag manager or DFP.
If you're using your own video inventory we'll also need a feed from your video library, but this is easy to produce and we can help you get it set-up if you're not sure how.
Where do I position the video player?
Suggestv inserts by default at the bottom of your article. It appears as a large, in-article player.
However, you can choose for the player to appear anywhere you like, using our <div> target.
Can I control the relevancy and recency of video content?
Yes. You can set up relevancy and recency thresholds to control the content being served.
What if there is already video on the page?
Suggestv doesn’t change the way your editorial team works. We just help ease the pressure to deliver more video views. Our tag can detect another video player on the page, and choose not to appear or to ensure we show a different video. Most publishers use the Suggestv player in a complementary way to their editorial player. Others choose to use the video player only on pages without video already.
